Responsibilities:
The Senior Business Analyst acts as the business expert filling a liaison role between the IT development group and business units for development, enhancement, and implementation of new and/or existing systems. Additionally, this position provides data and reporting solutions to satisfy informational and performance metrics needs for one or more business functions. Responsible for the concurrent management of one or more medium to large complex IT Business Technology projects. These projects are one-time, multitask jobs that have clearly defined start and end dates, a specific scope of work, a budget, required resources, and a specified performance objective to be achieved. Specific responsibilities include:
Works with stakeholders and project team to elicit, analyze, validate and prioritize the business needs/requirements
Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods
Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics
Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
Participates in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features/functions have been enabled and optimized
Participates in the selection of any software solutions that the organization may opt to use
Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications
Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
