Position Summary
The Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management Architect is a key Information Technology change agent in the digital transformation journey of company. We are seeking a hands-on technologist to execute Oracle financial and procurement ERP project delivery activities in support of company s finance ERP roadmap and overall platform strategy.
This role will be focused on the architectural aspects of the Project Billing and Project Costing Capabilities. This role will partner with IT and business partners to ensure delivery of strategic business objectives and develop long term technology solutions that continue to deliver and expand ongoing business value.
The candidate will possess the necessary functional and technical skills to execute tactical program delivery to achieve the ERP transformation and roadmap realization within the finance arena. The PPM Solution Architect must have the ability to design, configure, test and deploy Oracle Cloud, processes, and procedures to deliver our ERP programs at scale to meet the needs, challenges, and opportunities of the organization. They will be a key part of a global, cross-functional team, working effectively with others, building relationships and solving complex challenges across company s growing business footprint.
Candidate should be an outstanding communicator and strong team player, proficient in Oracle Cloud, yet capable of quickly learning new and emerging cloud technologies and concepts. They must be an advocate for and agent of change, delivering increasing business value through the implementation of digital solutions to facilitate and accelerate our finance transformation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all functional aspects of the Project Portfolio Management. Including project management, billing, and costing.
- Works in an agile environment to design, configure/build, test and deploy ERP solutions in their subject area, expanding into other subjects areas/finance modules as required
- Knowledge and exposure to industry-standard SDLC concepts, testing strategies and tools
- Creation and execution of test plans using best practices and standard tools
- Works closely with other architects, functional and technical peers to deliver proper ERP solutions that efficiently support our business at scale
- Works closely with other technology peers to meet/maintain architectural best practices/standards and appropriate technical governance to accelerate development/operations of state-of-the-art solutions
- Develops and maintains productive relationships with other team members and cross-functional partners across the enterprise
- Efficient and passionate problem-solver, able to work collaboratively to triage and troubleshoot program delivery and techno-functional challenges
- Always learning, seeking exposure to new technologies and competitive offerings in the ERP platform space
- Directs hands-on execution and delivery of large, complex projects of global scale and scope
- Assist architect(s) in the creation and maintenance of multi-year finance platform roadmap
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Number of Years of Work Experience:
5+ years of Oracle Cloud Implementation experience
Required Skills:
- Expert-level understanding of the Project Portfolio Management module.
- Participation in a minimum of 3 full lifecycle implementations of Oracle Cloud.
- Ability to lead technical design sessions; understand business requirements, identify gaps
- Ability to interact effectively with business partners to understand their business processes, needs and solutions
- Strong, proven problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze the most expedient method to recover business operations
- Must be committed to a culture of continuous improvement
- Exceptional customer service skills, in addition to extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with users, business and technical team members globally
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks; effective multitasking skills are a must
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Oracle Cloud Certifications Including but not limited to: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Project Portfolio Management, Procurement, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Procurement, Expenses.
- High level working knowledge of multiple complex software and hardware platforms including network architectures
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high tech environment juggling multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high pressure situations and manage distributed teams with competing priorities with tight deadlines
Education:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Security or related field or equivalent experience.
