Job Overview:
As a Senior Software Analyst on the Cloud Data Engineering team, you will be responsible for evaluating business requests to determine feasibility, identifying options, and recommending solutions for software development or enhancements. You will assist with interpreting customer requirements into conceptual and logical design specifications. Additionally, you will play a key role in shaping product design by gathering, interpreting, reviewing, validating, documenting, and maintaining business and functional requirements across the client's data environment to support product development. This role involves using SQL queries to perform gap/risk analysis and functional testing to support the client's products. You will also provide support and troubleshoot the team's applications and products, develop interfaces and prototypes, and recommend changes to meet requirements. Data mapping will be a critical component of this role, essential for tasks such as data migration, integration, transformation, and warehousing. You will also research and present information related to business standards, participate in testing, and identify opportunities to minimize complexity. Strong personal ownership, accountability, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate business requests to determine feasibility and recommend solutions for software development or enhancements.
• Interpret customer requirements into conceptual and logical design specifications.
• Gather, interpret, review, validate, document, and maintain business and functional requirements.
• Use SQL queries to perform gap/risk analysis and functional testing.
• Provide support and troubleshoot team applications and products.
• Develop interfaces and prototypes and recommend changes to meet requirements.
• Perform data mapping for data migration, integration, transformation, and warehousing tasks.
• Research and present information related to business standards.
• Participate in testing and identify opportunities to minimize complexity.
• Document application/service functionality from a business perspective.
• Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to less senior team members.

Qualifications:

• Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• 3+ years of SQL experience.
• Experience in data mapping and data validation.
• Experience working with Agile methodology or KANBAN.
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio 2010.
• Basic knowledge of JIRA/Confluence or another Project Tracking System.
• Familiarity with regression testing, release testing, and troubleshooting system issues.
• Experience complying with data security standards and working with client-wide systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and ability to document system design information and processes.
• Ability to identify root causes and conduct initial investigations into problems.
• Proven experience in communicating and collaborating with all levels of management.
• Ability to partner with software development team members to communicate detailed requirements.
• Ability to create detailed documentation to describe complex business processes.
• Ability to validate new software releases and provide documentation for end users.
• Demonstrates personal ownership of tasks, projects, and job performance.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience with SQL on Teradata, Oracle, and/or SQL Server.
• Experience with API requirements analysis and design.
• Experience with or willingness to learn new cloud technologies.

Pay Range: $55 - $60

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
