Job Title: Workday Integration Developer
Location: Taylor, Texas, USA (Hybrid minimum 2 days onsite)
Job type: Fulltime/ Direct hire
Job Summary
The Workday Integration Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain Workday integrations and related applications to meet client s business needs. This role collaborates closely with business subject matter experts, internal technical teams, and external vendors to ensure high-quality, secure, and efficient integration solutions. The developer will adhere to client s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and architectural standards, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability across the Workday ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new financial integrations within the Workday architecture.
- Support inbound and outbound Workday integrations, including issue resolution, monitoring, and enhancements.
- Conduct all phases of product development: analysis, design, testing, deployment, and integration.
- Prepare detailed design and functional specifications for integration solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate integration requirements effectively.
- Participate in system maintenance activities including version updates, patching, and implementing fixes.
- Research and evaluate new tools or technologies to enhance integration capabilities.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data governance standards.
Senior and Lead Levels (In addition to above):
- Serve as a Workday Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) guiding multiple teams.
- Lead the planning, design, and architecture phases of software development projects.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight to team members.
- Advise management on development objectives and SLA adherence.
- Resolve complex integration challenges through innovative and effective solutions.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Workday integrations beyond degree requirements.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
- Workday Security Framework, Integration Security
- Calculated Fields, Business Processes, and Workday Reporting (including BIRT reports)
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Java/OpenShift applications exchanging data with Workday.
- Knowledge of SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, XPATH, JSON.
- Experience with Workday Prism, Financial systems (e.g., Treasury, Billing, Settlements, BlackLine).
- Understanding of SOA-based integration products and API management.
- Proficiency in:
- Java, Oracle PL/SQL
- OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker Containers
- Git, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible Tower
- Monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, APM, Dynatrace)
- Linux environments and performance optimization techniques
Senior Level: Minimum 5 years related experience
Lead Level: Minimum 8 years related experience
Education
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Business, MIS, or a related field (Required).
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Work Location
- Position based in Taylor, TX.
- Hybrid work arrangement: Minimum 2 days per week onsite (additional days as needed).
- Remote work must be performed from a Texas residence.
- Employees may choose to work onsite more frequently or full-time.
