The IT Technical Senior Analyst provides onsite support and maintenance of IT equipment, including servers,
workstations, network equipment, storage, IT communication systems, and cloud infrastructure. This role
works closely with the leadership team to provide technical support and ensure the smooth functioning of the
organization s IT system.
Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain IT Equipment including workstations, network switches, firewalls, servers, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
Diagnosis and troubleshoot hardware or software failure in compliance with corporate IT standards and ITIL best practices.
Act as the liaison with various vendors to repair or replace hardware, update software, and supports help-desk function for internal and remote users.
Act as the liaison with the corporate IT personnel to facilitate the upgrades and maintenance to the existing network, hardware, and standard software infrastructure, and communicate local requirements that must be met and assist in the delivery of the final solution.
Provide onsite and remote supports to site scientific laboratories in integrating analytical and measurement instrumentation with data management systems and recommend new equipment and software for projects
Provide technical guidance on workstation, server, storage, and network system issues.
Monitor network performance and proactively identify and address any related issues.
Maintain an up-to-date documentation and knowledge base of the latest workstation, server, storage, and network technologies.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours technical support as needed.
Performs other duties as directed.
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of computer systems including network infrastructure, servers, and workstation administration.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a complex technical environment.
Demonstrated high level organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work with executives, and PhD level scientists and participate on special project teams.
Experience and Education Requirements
University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Proven experience in workstation, server, storage, and network system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of PowerShell or scripting languages is a plus.
