The program is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with Scrum Master and technical leadership experience to join a dynamic and exciting software development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stakeholder engagement, deriving and documenting requirements, implementing Agile best practices, developing the project roadmap, and removing roadblocks to enable team success.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Required Experience: 3+ years
  • Duties will include:
  • Understands and facilitates Scrum ceremonies
  • Daily Scrum
  • Backlog Refinement
  • Sprint Review
  • Sprint Planning
  • Sprint Retrospective
  • Drives the Scrum team to find efficiencies and to constantly improve themselves
  • Mentors the Scrum team to be self-organization
  • Leads the team to making their own conclusions and decisions
  • Shields the team from outside interference
  • Coaches the Product Owner, Scrum team, Stakeholders, and the greater organization on Agile ideology and Scrum best practices
  • Helps all parties understand their role in Scrum and how to work together effectively
  • Can help guide Product Owner on vision for what they want to accomplish
  • Removes impediments for the Scrum team or escalates them to someone that can
  • Produces metric reporting to drive team efficiency

Characteristics:
  • Has good listening and communication skills
  • Interested in change and learning to improvement an organization in its Agile knowledge and implementation and efficiency.
  • Scrum or Agile certification preferred
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Location: Herndon, VA on customer site

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
