Desktop Support Technician

Overview

Provides daily operations support and maintenance for network systems, including wireless and VoIP. Monitors networks proactively to ensure stable, dependable network services across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor networks proactively to ensure stability and dependability across platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot computer networks to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain LAN/WAN/wireless/VoIP operations by collaborating with network facility and hardware/software vendors.
• Utilize network management applications to identify network faults.
• Ensure the provision of data or telecommunication access to customers and facilitate the movement of information between locations.

Required Skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 3-5 years of IT experience in infrastructure or network environments.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting network systems.
• Knowledge of wireless and VoIP network operations.
• Ability to work with network vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with network maintenance and monitoring applications.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Proven ability to proactively monitor and support network systems.
