Job Overview:
The Software Engineer Senior will play a critical role in the development and enhancement of the Data-Navigator application, a back-office transaction management component of the Enterprise Payments platform. The role involves working in a collaborative SAFe environment to deliver robust and scalable solutions for the growing Fintech market.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products.
- Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
- Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Write code, complete development tasks, and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
- Contribute to the modernization of applications with cloud technologies.
- Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Train and communicate with internal teams on systems applications.
- Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Information Systems (preferred).
- 3 to 5 years of IT experience with programming languages such as C/C++, UNIX, and Oracle.
- Strong design and programming knowledge in Unix/Linux environments.
- Knowledge of RDBMS/SQL such as Oracle and DB2.
- Experience with SAFe/Agile methodology.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of PCI/PADSS standards.
- Familiarity with build tools like Bit Bucket and GIT.
- Proficiency in Python and Java is a plus.
General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of financial services industry and end-to-end systems development life cycles.
- Understanding of design patterns and their application.
- Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
