We are currently seeking a Mainframe Architect to support SCANA systems in a remote capacity. This is a contract position with a duration of 1 yr with possible extension. The Mainframe Architect will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and integrating enterprise systems that support operational, financial, and productivity reporting across core business functions.

Mainframe Architect Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement systems for Material Requisitioning and Material Variance Reporting to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Design productivity reporting frameworks within Work Management Systems for real-time performance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Fiscal Calendar Management tools to support financial planning cycles.
  • Lead Unit of Property Identification initiatives in compliance with asset tracking and capitalization policies.
  • Build Activity-Based Accounting models, including cost driver derivation and allocation methods.
  • Create systems for calculating and reporting Units of Work by integrating operational metrics with financial outcomes.
  • Enable Crew-Based Labor Reporting to capture labor distribution and productivity by team.
  • Integrate modules for SCANA-specific work management systems.

Mainframe Architect Qualifications:

Must-Have:
  • Advanced knowledge in SQL and Stored Procedures.
  • Proficiency in COBOL/370, CICS TS, and DB2 Version 12.1.
  • Skilled in data mapping and building functional workflow migrations.
  • Strong experience with QMF reporting, SPUFI, File-Manager, CA Intertest.
  • Familiarity with SAR View, VSAM, DFSORT, and IDCAMS.

Nice-to-Have:
  • Knowledge of CICS Web Interface, Web Services, or API Management.
  • Experience with MQ or similar message queuing technologies.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Visio for documentation and presentations.
