Google Cloud Platform Lead/Architect

Key Responsibilities

The Google Cloud Platform Lead/Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Information Services strategies and initiatives. This role involves creating solutions, gaining consensus, and executing projects across various business areas. The individual will play a pivotal role in defining project directions and solution architectures.

Collaborate with leadership to plan and drive the implementation of extensive initiatives that provide value to both internal and external stakeholders. Utilize technical, data, and business expertise to shape technical frameworks and solutions on both portfolio and enterprise levels. Be actively engaged in project life cycles, focusing on initiation, feasibility, and analysis phases.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in successfully architecting and implementing Google Cloud Platform solutions for medium to complex problems
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Strong teamwork capabilities and the ability to collaborate with architects, business users, and IT professionals

Technical Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, including working with distributed architectures, ETL, EDW, and Big Data technologies
- 8+ years of development experience in Python with a focus on building scalable solutions
- Proficiency in using Google Cloud Big Query and experience with serverless data warehousing concepts on Google Cloud
- Solid understanding of DWBI modelling frameworks and extensive background in working with SQL across various databases
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in data mapping, modelling, and utilizing data analytics tools
- Proven expertise in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, R, UNIX Shell, PHP, Ruby

Preferred Qualifications

- Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect Certification is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Services, including Streaming + Batch, Cloud Storage, Cloud Dataflow, Data Proc, DFunc, Big Query, and Big Table
- Experience in contemporary data mining, cloud computing, and data management tools like Microsoft Azure, AWS Cloud, Hadoop, HDFS, MapR, and Spark
- Strong background in Python development and cloud run techniques
