Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Developer to support the development and deployment of data integration processes between the System Integration (SI) Hub and I-MIDAS (Idaho Medicaid Integrated Data and Analytics System). This role is key to building the pipelines and systems that ensure accurate, secure, and timely data exchange, working closely with IDHW stakeholders, architects, and the broader development team using standardized frameworks and architectural models. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational data stores (ODS), data warehousing, and CI/CD pipeline development, with a deep understanding of system integration in healthcare or Medicaid environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) between the SI Hub repositories and I-MIDAS
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Architects, and IDHW stakeholders to align technical development with integration frameworks and data governance standards
- Build and support automated data pipelines, implement deployment processes (CI/CD), and ensure adherence to security protocols
- Create and maintain data warehouse artifacts, including data models, scripts, stored procedures, and documentation
- Support daily data operations, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in coordination with M&O and PMO teams
- Provide technical input into the PMO Change Management process, contributing to ongoing enhancements and optimizations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Developer in ODS and Data Warehouse environments
- At least two (2) years of experience with large automated systems (e.g., MMIS, fiscal agent systems, or comparable platforms)
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages, software tools, and database platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Python, etc.)
- Solid understanding of data warehouse architecture techniques, security, and performance tuning
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control, and CI/CD processes
Preferred:
- Experience with Medicaid, MMIS, or healthcare-related systems
- Applicable technical certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake, SQL, Data Engineering)
- Exposure to architecture, business analysis, and requirements gathering
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and analytics frameworks
