Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer Lead to join our team in a Full-Time Remote capacity. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take ownership of the ServiceNow platform architecture, development lifecycle, and team mentorship.

You'll play a critical role in shaping the platform strategy, enhancing existing solutions, and leading a team of developers in delivering impactful, scalable, and secure ServiceNow solutions for federal clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Development Team:
    Manage and mentor a team of ServiceNow developers; review code, guide technical decisions, and foster skill growth.
  • Platform Ownership & Roadmap:
    Serve as the technical authority on the ServiceNow platform. Provide thought leadership on architectural decisions and contribute to the roadmap in collaboration with the Product and Platform Architecture teams.
  • Solution Design & Strategy:
    Translate business needs into technical solutions using out-of-the-box capabilities and custom development when needed. Drive best practices in ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, HRSD, and other modules.
  • Development Oversight:
    Oversee development across the platform including workflows, UI policies, client/server scripts, integrations, and orchestration. Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
  • Integration Leadership:
    Manage and design integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, MID servers, LDAP, and other technologies.
  • Governance & Standards:
    Establish development, testing, documentation, and release management standards. Implement DevOps practices as applicable.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    Work with product managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business goals. Provide technical estimations, risk assessments, and feasibility analysis.
  • Innovation & Optimization:
    Stay up to date with ServiceNow releases and new capabilities. Proactively recommend enhancements, platform optimization opportunities, and new module adoption.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • ServiceNow Developer, Implementation Specialist, or Architect Certification
  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
  • 2+ years in a technical lead or senior developer capacity
  • Strong experience in:
    • JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap
    • ServiceNow CMDB, Service Catalog, MID Servers, Orchestration, Flow Designer
    • Integration frameworks (REST, SOAP, etc.)
  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience with scoped applications and custom module development
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and federal compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and influence team members and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience delivering ServiceNow at scale in federal or enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with user experience design concepts
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow
  • Experience with Performance Analytics and dashboard design
  • Experience leading technical delivery in multi-vendor environments
