Major Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with others (local or global) in a timely and detailed manner, ensuring all collaborators are informed and aligned.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations to customers and senior management, effectively communicating intricate ideas.
  • Encouraging disciplined sharing of intellectual property and knowledge both internally and externally, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Generate detailed requirements documents and effectively communicate them across teams (local or global).
  • Provide mentoring and development opportunities, helping team members achieve their career goals.
  • Serve as the final review and design authority on new products, ensuring perfect execution.
  • Collaborate with direct reports to develop and implement clear career plans, tailored to individual aspirations and goals.

Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science related field, with experience (minimum of 6-8 years) in Embedded Firmware. Equivalent years of experience and education considered.
  • Experience training others (local or global) in crafting, updating, and monitoring detailed schedules for specific tasks or entire projects.
  • Expertise in conducting FMEAs, writing design analyses, and managing product release documentation processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of product safety ramifications, issues, and resolutions, and the ability to train others (local or global) in these areas.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with external key technical representatives.
  • Demonstrated FMEA skills and a detailed understanding of product safety implications and resolutions.
  • Design experience with LCDs and sensors, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Experience in the design of communicating/connected products (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, ClimateTalk, Modbus, etc.).
  • Proficiency in schedule estimation and project scheduling, ensuring timely and successful implementation of projects.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal) to support our primarily U.S.-based customers. Fluency in French is an asset.
  • Authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
