Help Desk Specialist I

Under the general direction of the ITS Operations Manager, performs Tier 1 (routine help desk support) and some Tier 2 (specialized, mission-critical help desk support) desktop, laptop, operating system, software, telephony, and mobile offices support of City entities (Fire, Police Department, Library and other City departments) and may perform occasional administrative support, account management and purchasing duties for the department.

Help Desk Specialist II

Under the general direction of the ITS Operations Manager, performs Tier 2 (specialized, mission-critical help desk support) and some Tier 1 (routine help desk support) desktop, laptop, operating system, software, M365, telephony, basic networking and mobile offices support of City entities (Fire, Police Department, Library and other City departments). Will perform some system administration as well as overseeing some IT help desk processes such as: PC refresh, asset tracking, and recycling.
