Responsibilities

  • Operate independently on the most complex projects at the highest technical level of all phases of application systems analysis activities.

  • Design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and Snowflake data hub.

  • Formulate or define system scope and objectives based on user needs.

  • Develop or refine procedures to address complex challenges, taking into account limitations and capabilities of IT systems, operational timeframes, and desired outcomes.

  • Work with multiple business units, in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning, design, and development of new analytical and data science applications, as well as enhancements to existing applications.

  • Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.

  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.

  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.

  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.

  • Create and deliver effective presentations to all levels of colleagues and peer groups.

  • Document standards and procedures for various analytic platforms.

  • Develop test cases and validate test results.

  • Coach and transfer knowledge to less experienced team members.

  • Proficiently perform assignments having the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience needed to carry out all aspects of the job.

  • Exercise independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing, and conducting work assignments.

Qualifications

Top 3 Required Skills:

  • Experience in the Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Apps and Power Automate

  • Knowledge of ERP tables is advantageous

  • Experience working on Web services/REST APIs for a system analyst/data engineer

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years as a systems analyst in Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, and Data Science projects

  • At least 5 years of experience in SQL, including crafting complex SQL queries

  • At least 5 years designing DataMarts, with a focus on Dimensional Modeling

  • Minimum of 3 years in the design and development of Power BI dashboards

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field

Industry Preference:

  • Preference for candidates with experience in utilities infrastructure or other regulated industries
