World Wide Technology is looking for a Director, Technology Asset Automation & Integration. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $70.00 to $75.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Location: Charlotte, NC (Preferred) or New York, NY (with frequent travel to Charlotte)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Strategist / Engineer with a strong technical foundation in Network, Identity, or Cloud Engineering to help design and lead a multi-year transformation strategy focused on integration, automation, and modernization of enterprise systems.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technologist with architect-level knowledge of SailPoint or deep experience across multiple networking technologies (e.g., Meraki, Palo Alto, Silverpeak) who also has a strategic mindset and has been there, done that when it comes to integrating complex infrastructure systems including CMDB and related tooling.

Key Responsibilities:
- client is specifically targeting people with these specific backgrounds: Network engineering, Identity engineering, software development or cloud engineering.
- This needs to be future focused, engineering heavy candidates who are looking to step into a strategic thought leader type role where they can guide the future of integrations and automations related to all of our technology portals and CMDB modules.
- Develop and contribute to a 3-year infrastructure strategy focused on systems integration and automation.
- Bring strong technical engineering expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Identity Management (e.g., SailPoint strong architectural understanding preferred)
- Network Engineering (e.g., Meraki, Palo Alto, Silverpeak)
- Cloud Infrastructure
- Lead or support efforts to improve CMDB integration and adjacent systems, guiding platform evolution based on modern best practices.
- Identify opportunities for platform and technology integration, and guide decisions based on what s possible and proven in enterprise environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams based in Charlotte and NY to ensure alignment, communication, and implementation success.
- Participate in strategic planning, while remaining comfortable diving into technical detail as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Network, Identity, or Cloud Engineering with a strong systems-thinking approach.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise with at least one of the following:
- SailPoint (Architect-level understanding strongly preferred)
- Two or more network technologies (e.g., Meraki, Palo Alto, Silverpeak)
- Prior experience building or contributing to large-scale infrastructure strategies and integration initiatives.
- Understanding of technology integration principles and the ability to guide teams through successful execution.
- 8+ years in IT, with experience in identity management, cloud engineering or network engineering.
- Proven ability to design and implement automated workflows using APIs, scripting, or low-code tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel between Charlotte and New York as needed.
Location & Work Expectations:
- Charlotte, NC is the preferred location with a minimum 3 days/week onsite.
- New York, NY is an option for the right candidate, provided they can demonstrate the ability to integrate with the Charlotte-based team. Travel to Charlotte will be expected regularly.
- Candidates hired in Charlotte will also be expected to travel to New York on a quarterly basis.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in infrastructure automation frameworks and platforms.
- Prior involvement in CMDB redesign or tool integrations.
- Cross-disciplinary engineering background spanning network, security, and identity.
