Our Financial Client is seeking a Financial Data Analyst (Non-IT)



Location: Charlotte, NC - HYBRID (3 DAYS ONSITE)

Job Type: 12+ Month Contract

Pay Rate: Negotiable

Client Requirement: W2 contract (No 3rd party resumes can be considered)

Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Chief Operating Officer's team, primarily focusing on audit preparation and data management within the financial industry. This role involves harvesting and managing data to ensure compliance with regulatory audits. You will be a part of a dynamic team that handles significant data volumes to meet audit requirements and support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing for audits by setting up tests and dry runs to validate data accuracy
  • Sourcing and managing data sets to ensure data integrity and quality
  • Deconstructing ETL logic from legacy tools for better data understanding
  • Conducting data reconciliation and data testing to maintain high data standards
  • Collaborating within a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting
  • Working under tight deadlines and executive-level scrutiny
  • Utilizing tools like Python, Informatica, R, Tableau for data analysis (preferred, but not mandatory)


Must Haves:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, preferably in the financial industry
  • Demonstrated experience in data manipulation, cleaning, merging, and aggregating datasets
  • Strong understanding of data storage solutions, particularly NetApp
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting and audit processes in the banking sector
  • Knowledge of SQL and Python is highly desirable

Note: This position is not suitable for Data Engineers or those focused on building software or data pipelines. We are seeking candidates with a consistent work history in the financial industry, particularly those experienced in data science with Python and SQL skills.
