Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Support the product owners and creating engineering change orders/notices (ECN/ECO) for design changes.
- Support new products and existing product designs.
- Update issues with parts in production and create design changes.
- Act as the connection between the production site and product development in product/design-related questions/issues.
- Establishing mock-up/pilot assemblies and coordinating product change implementation.
- Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes.
- Coordinating process and product changes between the plant and product owners
- Applying engineering principles to develop products that meet customer technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements.
- Conducting mathematical modeling to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible.
- May also be involved with designing product-specific manufacturing production processes and equipment.
- Managing large projects or end-to-end processes with limited oversight from the manager.
- Solving difficult and often complex problems.
Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience. Prefer 8+
- CATIA V5 experience.
- Familiar with injection molding, fabrication, plastics, metal stamping, etc.
- Nice to have: Experience with KOLA, PDM LINK, CREO View.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- BS Engineering not required but nice to have
