Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Support the product owners and creating engineering change orders/notices (ECN/ECO) for design changes.
  • Support new products and existing product designs.
  • Update issues with parts in production and create design changes.
  • Act as the connection between the production site and product development in product/design-related questions/issues.
  • Establishing mock-up/pilot assemblies and coordinating product change implementation.
  • Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes.
  • Coordinating process and product changes between the plant and product owners
  • Applying engineering principles to develop products that meet customer technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements.
  • Conducting mathematical modeling to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible.
  • May also be involved with designing product-specific manufacturing production processes and equipment.
  • Managing large projects or end-to-end processes with limited oversight from the manager.
  • Solving difficult and often complex problems.


Experience:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience. Prefer 8+
  • CATIA V5 experience.
  • Familiar with injection molding, fabrication, plastics, metal stamping, etc.
  • Nice to have: Experience with KOLA, PDM LINK, CREO View.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • BS Engineering not required but nice to have
