Master Scheduler
Location: Sterling, Virginia 100% ONSITE
Type: Contract To Hire
Pay: $28.00/h

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Scheduler / Operations Coordinator to manage the daily scheduling and task assignment for our Engineering, Project Management, and Production teams. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth operational flow and timely execution of projects by tracking progress, managing priorities, and supporting cross-functional communication.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule daily activities for a team of 6 across Engineering, Project Management, and Production.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, assign tasks, and ensure accountability from planning through completion.
  • Lead daily kickoff meetings to review assigned tasks and set priorities for the day.
  • Track materials from ordering through completion, ensuring timely delivery and use.
  • Create and manage tracking systems to monitor task progress, deadlines, and team activity using Microsoft Office and MS Project (or similar tools).
  • Communicate with stakeholders to gather and maintain accurate project information.
  • Monitor daily progress and provide updates to leadership as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project coordination, scheduling, operations, or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Project).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in technical, manufacturing, or production settings is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience leading or participating in daily stand-up/kickoff meetings.
  • Familiarity with material tracking systems or inventory/project lifecycle management.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar.
