Job Type: Temp-to-Hire; Hybrid (3 days in/2 days remote)
Salary Range: $100,000 - $118,000



Position Overview:


The System Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of servers, networking infrastructure, and cybersecurity in a complex hybrid environment. This role requires deep technical expertise to maintain performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security best practices. Operating with minimal supervision, the System Administrator will also lead projects, research new technologies, and may supervise other IT personnel.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Design and implement computing environments including hardware, system/software, and configurations.

  • Administer and maintain Active Directory, Intune, Azure, and Group Policies.

  • Configure and test server/network hardware, operating systems, and develop disaster recovery solutions.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues; analyze performance data to determine maintenance or upgrades.

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to safeguard infrastructure.

  • Consult with users to assess system needs and resolve operational issues.

  • Monitor network performance, propose system enhancements, and evaluate new technologies.

  • Train staff in hardware/software usage and best practices.

  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support IT procurement and deployment.

  • Lead and manage system upgrades, cloud migrations, and implementation of new technologies.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business goals.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Advanced experience managing and maintaining Windows servers and virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V).

  • Expert-level Azure administration, including security, compliance, and cloud configuration.

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure (TCP/IP, firewalls, switches, network monitoring tools).

  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity, including development, testing, and deployment of secure systems.

  • Proficient in Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and Intune.

  • Experience migrating systems and services to Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments.

  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.

  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL Server.

  • Self-starter capable of conducting independent research, testing, and implementation.
