Department Overview:

The Fraud Department is a global organization responsible for assessing, mitigating, and preventing fraudulent activities across multiple product lines and services to protect the firm and its clients. Fraud is one of the departments under the Cyber Data Risk & Resilience (CDRR) division.

In an effort to protect client assets, provide a safe and secure banking environment, and minimize financial loss to the Firm from systematic security risk, the Fraud team is tasked with monitoring client account activities, investigating fraud incidents, mitigating potential fraud losses, performing root cause analysis and lessons learned, and educating employee and clients to raise fraud awareness.

The team is looking to recruit a Vice President, Debit Card Strategy and Analytics Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing upon a robust strategy to target debit card fraud while maintaining client service expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track portfolio performance.
Deploy mitigation activities in response to KPI misses.
Accountable for debit card fraud loss and client experience
Lead and manage analytics staff to fulfil the strategic vision.
Design routines to identify fraud patterns and develop appropriate countermeasures.
Participate in industry groups to stay abreast of emerging fraud trends and regulatory and/or network changes that may impact fraud strategies.
Ensure all business functions are appropriately documented in desktop procedures.
Manage process improvements, procedures, and integration related activities.
Collaborate with strategic partners to enhance fraud detection capabilities.
Provide oversight for vendor relationships which support fraud mitigation processes.
Develop on-demand reporting and dashboards.
Build a culture of accountability and autonomy by empowering associates to identify issues, dependencies, and to make decisions.
Identify, track, and react to client experience issues with solutions.
Manage the highest-level escalations.
Develop associates and future leaders
Manage employee issues with sensitivity, empathy, and fairness

Skills required (essential):

The ideal candidate should display the following:
5+ years of experience in fraud management and strategy
5+ years of experience in SQL, SAS, and/or Python
Strong knowledge of debit card fraud strategy and fraud rule writing is a must.
Ability to 'set and execute' an agenda.
Confident communicator with the ability to interact at all levels.
Ability to work in a high stress and fast paced environment; often in time critical scenarios.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible to changing priorities.

Skills desired:
Experience in building fraud detection strategies in Defense Edge, Falcon, and/or Actimize
Experience with Cardinal Commerce, MasterCard, and/or Visa applications
