Job Description:
- Work in a hybrid agile environment to provide leadership and guidance in developing, implementing, and evaluating online user experience and content stXXgies.
- Plan and develop product design criteria, business objectives, communication protocols, prioritization strategies, and quality assessment standards.
- Apply evidence-based methods such as user analytics, interviews, and testing to improve design choices.
- Ensure adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0/2.1 A & AA).
- CollaboXX with delivery teams and vendors to design user-centric, accessible digital solutions.
- Assess user needs and define usability requirements and metrics.
- Lead backlog prioritization and product release planning.
- Provide content and design strategy, conduct stakeholder consultations, and guide the team in content design, wireframes, templates, and functionality planning.
- Candidatetor team members and lead the development of user personas, journey maps, and prototypes.
- Support prototyping and deployment by ensuring best practices and standards are met.
- Offer expert advice on usability, accessibility, front-end design, and performance metrics.
- Contribute to project status reports and present design recommendations.
- Lead multiple concurrent research and content strategy projects, translate concepts into user flows, and continuously iteXX designs based on user feedback.
- Knowledge of backlog management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Pivotal Tracker).
- Experience delivering in agile teams (scrum, extreme programming) with product owners, UX designers, and developers.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as MIRO, Confluence, Trello, Office 365, Google Drive, Zoom, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience designing complex digital user experiences.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform (basic).
- Experience applying mobile-first or responsive web design principles.
- Proficiency in industry design tools (Photoshop, Adobe InXXgn, Illustrator, Balsamiq, InVision).
- Experience with content layout, typography, navigation design, information architecture, and taxonomies.
- Knowledge of usability and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0/2.1 Level A & AA).
- Lead user experience and content design initiatives.
- Visualize and prototype user flows, journeys, wireframes, and mockups.
- Define and measure usability requirements and test outcomes.
- Guide the team in developing functional specifications and new feature opportunities.
- Provide content strategy and design direction to vendors and stakeholders.
- Analyze user feedback and translate it into design improvements.
- Deliver presentations and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions are accessible, responsive, and aligned with user needs.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Effective stakeholder and vendor engagement skills.
- Experience working with government stakeholders (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong facilitation and collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize, resolve issues, and translate business goals into design.
- Skilled in research, usability testing, and design thinking.
