Network Engineer
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing an organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable network performance, availability, and scalability to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN networks
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Implement network security measures and best practices
Perform network upgrades, patches, and capacity planning
Document network configurations, procedures, and diagrams
Collaborate with system administrators, security teams, and vendors
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Provide technical support and participate in on-call rotations (if required)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Knowledge of network security concepts and firewalls
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible)
Experience with SD-WAN and wireless networking solutions
