job summary:

We're seeking a Project Implementation Engineer to help deploy advanced public safety radio communication systems across the U.S. This role involves implementing complex RF and IP-based systems to ensure emergency services, education, public works, and enterprise organizations can communicate reliably and securely.


As a key member of the project delivery team, you'll be involved in the staging, deployment, optimization, and documentation of radio communication systems, including APCO Project 25 (P25) systems. You'll work directly with project managers, technicians, and customers to ensure solutions meet expectations and are delivered with technical excellence.

responsibilities:


  • Implement, configure, and optimize radio communications systems in the field.
  • Support system staging, deployment, and troubleshooting both onsite and remotely.
  • Prepare and update system documentation, including network diagrams and operational guides.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, service technicians, and project managers to meet implementation milestones.
  • Maintain positive, professional communication with customers, ensuring their operational needs are fully met.
  • Travel up to 60% to customer sites throughout the U.S.


qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting RF and/or IP-based network solutions.
  • Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, Linux, VMware, and/or Hyper-V.
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols, tools, and equipment (e.g., IP analyzers, SSH, FTP, command-line tools).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to customer sites (up to 60%).
