Job Title: IBM Mainframe Administrator (Skill Level 4)
Location: Remote (Must be able to work in EST time zone)
Work Arrangement: Primarily remote; onsite required during the first week in Albany, NY

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IBM Mainframe Administrator (Skill Level 4) to join our team. This role involves hands-on systems programming and mainframe support, including installation, customization, maintenance of the operating system, and software upgrades in a z/OS environment.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Senior-Level (85+ months): Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance and provide mentorship to others. May hold advanced educational qualifications.

  • 48+ months of experience supporting mainframe software specific to the z/OS operating system

  • 48+ months managing z/OS security certificates, RACF account administration, and LDAP

  • 36+ months of experience with:

    • Installation and configuration of IBM JCL, CICS, CTG (CICS Transaction Gateway), MQ on z/OS, and IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)

    • Working with IBM DB2

  • 36+ months working with COBOL programming on IBM z/OS mainframes, including:

    • Production support

    • Systems analysis and design

    • Program compiling

    • Unit and integration testing

    • Modifying JCL/PROCs and performing global changes

  • 36+ months monitoring production environments and performing error diagnostics/debugging, including:

    • Reviewing system logs

    • Identifying and resolving mainframe errors
