Who are we looking for?
We are looking for 10+ Years of Tech Lead Application DBA, an application DBA focuses on the databases that support specific applications, ensuring they run efficiently and are well-maintained. Their responsibilities include application installation, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and data synchronization between databases. They also play a key role in database design and development, working closely with application developers.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong Application database administrator who provides technical leadership to maintain day-to-day support for Oracle, SQLServer, Snowflake, DB2, Exadata, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DaticalDB, AWSDynamoDB, AWS S3 etc databases across multiple platforms
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Installation and Maintenance: Installing and maintaining applications that rely on the database.
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Setting up replication, failover mechanisms, and implementing backup and recovery strategies to ensure continuous database operation
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitoring database performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimization techniques to ensure efficient database operation
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to database performance and application functionality.
- Data Synchronization: Ensuring data consistency and accuracy across multiple databases.
- Database Design and Development: Working with application developers to design and implement databases that meet application requirements.
- Security: Implementing and maintaining database security measures, including user permissions and access controls.
- Backup and Recovery: Implementing and managing database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data availability.
- Capacity Planning: Planning for future database capacity to meet application needs.
- Monitoring: Monitoring database performance and identifying potential issues.
- Documentation: Documenting database configurations, procedures, and security policies.
