About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Human-Centered Design (HCD) Contractor to serve as the primary liaison between business and IT teams. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of user-centric solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HCD methodologies, facilitate collaboration, and guide project teams through research, design, and validation activities to improve user experience and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and conduct experience benchmarking, usability testing, and insight synthesis to validate design decisions.

Analyze user behaviors and channel performance to uncover opportunities for improvement.

Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability studies.

Create personas, journey maps, and service blueprints to articulate user needs and pain points.

Identify root causes of experience challenges and recommend actionable design solutions.

Co-create value models and experience blueprints in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Facilitate design thinking workshops and collaborative sessions with stakeholders.

Develop and iterate on storyboards, wireframes, and concepts to visualize user journeys and potential solutions.

Align user needs and business objectives with technical constraints to drive practical, user-centered design outcomes.

Present research findings and design recommendations to business and IT stakeholders.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Human-Centered Design (HCD), with a strong grasp of design thinking methodologies.

Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing.

Demonstrated experience in Agile software development environments.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, product managers, and business/IT stakeholders.

Proficiency in Figma and experience developing low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes.

Knowledge of Information Architecture and its application to digital products.

Experience managing stakeholder relationships and navigating team dynamics.

Ability to synthesize insights into actionable recommendations that drive design and business decisions.
