  • Performance & Monitoring:
Design for reliability, observability, and diagnostics. Ensure systems are secure, performant, and highly available in a production environment.
  • Cloud Infrastructure:
Leverage Azure services, including serverless technologies, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed of emerging trends in digital payments, cloud computing, and fraud detection. Apply new insights to continuously enhance Costco s digital payment capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role.
  • Deep expertise in .NET technologies (C#) with strong proficiency in at least one other programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Proven experience designing and delivering microservices-based architectures at scale.
  • Direct experience integrating with CyberSource, Fiserv uCom, and other payment processing systems.
  • Solid understanding of payment industry protocols and standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, EMV, OAuth).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and its services related to compute, networking, security, and storage.
  • Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Prior consulting or leadership experience in a large enterprise setting.
  • Experience supporting both legacy and modern technology stacks.
  • Familiarity with telemetry and observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, App Insights).

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid role with regular attendance at Costco s Seattle-area office required.
  • Occasional on-call responsibilities or off-hours support may be required based on deployment schedules or incident response needs.
