Description As a System/Hardware EPM, you will work closely with mechanical, electrical, test, and software teams in VPG and across the company to define and develop highly optimized hardware products. You will be responsible for coordinating and driving development of the hardware that ties the product together, including: managing the process to define, refine, and validate designs for key components of the system, planning and execution of build events, being the primary point of contact with vendors and CM partners to establish plans and provide guidance, and innovating best practices for an evolving organization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/MS CE/EE/ME
  • 5+ yrs of relevant hardware engineering experience in consumer electronics
  • 3+ yrs of project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work through system-level development tradeoffs
  • Proven track record of managing complex hardware product schedules and engineering builds down to the small details
  • Strong technical background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering
  • Understanding of consumer electronics system architectures
  • Proactive and highly self-motivated; good critical thinking capabilities and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to operate well in an environment with rapid development cycles and constant change
  • Willingness to travel internationally to support development builds

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with multi-camera systems, display and optics technologies, and/or wearable consumer electronics
  • Experience driving a highly diverse set of cross-functional team members and perspectives and yielding the best possible product solution
  • Experience as primary point of contact with vendors and CM partners to establish a daily build plan, provide clear direction and guidance to meet the program and build objectives

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
