Description
The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing level 2 technical support to the users of the IT systems and services, as well as escalating complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate teams or vendors. The IT Support - L2 also performs routine maintenance, upgrades, backups, and audits of the IT infrastructure, and documents the procedures, policies, and best practices for IT support.
Responsibilities
Provide level 2 technical support to the users of the IT systems and services, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, network devices, software applications, and cloud services.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve IT issues using remote access tools, phone, email, chat, or in-person visits.
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate teams or vendors, and follow up until resolution.
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, backups, and audits of the IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network, security, and backup systems.
Document the procedures, policies, and best practices for IT support, and update the IT knowledge base and ticketing system.
Train and mentor junior IT support staff and interns, and provide feedback on their performance.
Stay updated on the latest IT trends, technologies, and best practices, and suggest improvements or enhancements to the IT systems and services.
