Job Details
As an Technical Specialist EPIC, FHIR, Azure, you will be a part of an Agile team to build healthcare applications and implement new features while adhering to the best coding development standards .
Responsibilities: -
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and integrate EPIC data for chatbot use cases.
- Interface with EPIC through APIs (e.g., FHIR, HL7, Chronicles, Bridges, Clarity/Caboodle) to extract relevant clinical data.
- Experience with Interfaces such as Cloverleaf or Inter Systems
- Design scalable data architectures on Azure (ADF, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Databricks, etc.).
- Collaborate with product and NLP/AI teams to make data accessible for conversational AI models.
- Strong understanding of EPIC data models, including Clarity and Caboodle, and experience extracting data via EPIC s APIs.
- Proven experience in Azure Cloud data services ADF, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Databricks.
- Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and building large-scale data solutions.
- Familiarity with FHIR/HL7 standards and healthcare interoperability.
- Experience working on chatbot or AI/ML initiatives is a plus.
- Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
- Build and enforce standards for data quality, lineage, metadata management, and observability.
- Excellent understanding of data privacy, security best practices, and compliance in healthcare.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience: - 10+ years
Location: - This role is remote. Candidates must reside in the United States.
Educational Qualifications: -
- Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
