World Wide Technology is looking for an Sr. Security Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range provided. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Job Description:
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network and security infrastructure, with a strong focus on virtualized environments. This role requires expertise in VMware NSX, traditional firewall technologies, and NetScaler (Citrix ADC) for advanced application delivery and security.
- Design and implement VMware NSX solutions for network virtualization and security in software-defined data centers (SDDCs).
- Deploy and manage micro-segmentation using NSX Distributed Firewall (DFW) to create granular, application-specific security policies that prevent the lateral spread of threats.
- Configure and maintain logical switches, routers, and other NSX components to support virtual network overlays.
- Administer and manage NetScaler (Citrix ADC) appliances to ensure secure and efficient application delivery.
- Configure load balancing, SSL offloading, and traffic management to optimize application performance and availability.
- Implement and manage the integrated Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect against application-level exploits like SQL injection and cross-site scripting.
- Design, implement, and maintain firewall rules and policies across multiple platforms to protect network perimeters.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security breaches and anomalies.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive Zero Trust security framework.
- Extend corporate data center security to multi-cloud environments using NSX for consistent policy enforcement.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for network security policies, procedures, and diagrams.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network and security incidents spanning the application, virtualization, and security layers.
- Participate in incident response efforts to address cyberattacks, malware, or breaches effectively.
- Leverage automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to streamline network and security operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and operations, to integrate security into all aspects of the network infrastructure.
