Overview:



  • We are seeking a skilled Field Services Technician to provide onsite IT support for desktop systems, networks, servers, and operational applications in a fast-paced plant environment. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and ensuring compliance with IT standards and security processes.


Responsibilities:



  • Support plant IT infrastructure including desktops, WAN/LAN, servers, and disaster recovery systems.

  • Provide diagnostic assistance to System/Network Engineering teams and Service Desk.

  • Deliver first-level incident, problem, and change management support, including after-hours and weekend coverage as needed.

  • Maintain documentation for site-specific network, server, and end-user devices.

  • Perform hands-on desktop fixes: software/hardware installation, upgrades, backups, and configuration.

  • Manage IT asset inventory, repairs, and lifecycle tracking.

  • Create/update work instructions and ensure proper documentation storage.

  • Monitor alerts and escalate issues as required.

  • Support site launches, expansions, and server/network refresh projects.

  • Assist with ad hoc reporting using tools like Qlik Sense and Power BI.

  • Ensure compliance with security, purchasing, and quality standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and shop floor environments is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems, and PC-based applications.

  • Basic understanding of network systems, protocols, and server environments.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
