Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Solutions Engineer II. Demonstrate the value of Akamai software solutions and support our customers with the implementation and adoption of our network products and services; Own, shape, and run proof-of- concepts, beta programs, and related activities; Dive into enterprise architecture discovery and hands-on software configuration; Perform technical demonstrations, customer analysis reports and proof of concepts; Provide consultation, presentation, technical evaluation, support and market knowledge to customers; Manage the technical proposal process to ensure recommendations for customer requirements are accurate, defined, detailed and addressed; Influence product roadmaps and ensure inclusion of business priorities and requirements in software development; Partner directly with customer accounts to develop relationships that position Akamai as the trusted advisor. 10% domestic travel required. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.[AG0850]

Required Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Telecommunications, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
\n
Must have three (3) years of experience with the following: pre-sales technical processes, cloud infrastructure, Javascript, HTML, CSS, technical project management, technical support, web technologies, video streaming, and live video.
\n
Compensation:
\n
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $133555 - $190400/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
\n
The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
