Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind building the Microsoft cloud. Within CO+I, the Datacenter Planning & eXecution Engineering (DPXE) team is responsible for delivering datacenter capacity for Microsoft's cloud business. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects with specific safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals.
The DPX Engineering team is responsible for architecting, designing, and building the next generation of connected systems and tools using microservices architecture or ERP platforms to help manage and support critical business functions such as Supply Chain, Cost, Schedule, Networking, Commissioning, Safety, Planning etc. in a real time manner. The team has a charter to deliver against the NorthStar goal of building robust automation for these functions through well engineered systems and at the same time design and build the next gen, ML based, recommendation engine to enable cost and schedule modeling, supply planning, execution planning etc. while integrating with the bigger CO+I ecosystem.

*This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
*Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.
*This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

We are looking for a passionate individual contributors who can deal with ambiguity and challenge the status-quo to deliver automation capabilities that power the long-range execution planning efforts, drive workflow improvements, and build solutions to assist in the delivery of large-scale data centers through efficient management of cost and schedule. You will:
- Perform End to end S/4 HANA EPPM Portfolio and Project Management implementation activities (Requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, system configuration & customization, cutover, Go-live, etc.)
- Resolve complex system integration challenges working with other members of the team and external teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders and demonstrate features developed in an Agile environment
- Share learnings and code assets developed with the CO+I engineering team
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers by developing and following DRI playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate
- Proactively seek new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale
Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with Hands-on experience including, but not limited to, S/4 EPPM (PPM, PS, CPM), Portfolio Management, Project Planning, Project Procurement, Project Execution, Vendor Progress Tracking, Vendor Payment Application, Project Monitoring & Control, Project Finance, Asset Accounting. Integration with SAP BTP Industry Cloud Applications and Integration Suites, Integration with SAP ECC for financial accounting,
- OR equivalent experience.
- Configuration, Software development, and deployment experiences in S/4 EPPM (PPM, PS, CPM). Integration with SAP ECC for financial accounting and other systems such as MDG, Dynamics365
- Experience in S/4 Portfolio and Project management implementation activities including but not limited to configuration, development, prepare test scripts, design and create user authorization, execute unit test and system integration text, fix user acceptance test issues, execute mock and production cutover, and post go-live production support and enhancement

- Experience working in capital expenditure (CAPEX) project and/or operating expense (OPEX) project in construction and real estate facility value chain including but not limited to owner-led enterprise or general contractor, construction, basic infrastructure procurement (utility power purchase agreement, utility invoices, fiber optics procurement)
- Experience in SAP EPPM modules, other EPPM software (Oracle Primavera P6, Omega 365), Lease contract, Lease accounting, or Construction material take-off processes and systems will be a plus
- Technical implementation knowledge in integration with SAP ECC or S/4 HANA, Ariba, and other internal/external systems
- Experience with data integration and data extraction to/from Data Platform architecture (SQL Relational Databases, Data Warehousing, Big Data architectures)
