Job Title: Oracle Cloud Security Lead Analyst Utilities
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 6 Months (Contract, with extensions likely)
Location: Hybrid New Orleans, LA
Travel: On-site ~1 week per month (may increase to 2 weeks during role redesign phases)
Overview
Our Utilities client is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Security Lead Analyst to address immediate access management challenges and drive long-term improvements in security architecture. This role will begin with a focus on clearing a backlog of access requests but will quickly evolve into role architecture, access model design, and integration with modern identity and access management (IAM) platforms.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on knowledge of Oracle Utilities CCS (Customer Cloud Service) and Oracle ERP security models, as well as familiarity with integrating third-party IAM solutions such as SailPoint, Okta, Ping, ConductorOne, or Entra (Azure AD). This role is best suited for a professional who can both execute day-to-day provisioning and help define the enterprise's future-state access governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage user access requests, role assignments, and security groups across Oracle Utilities applications (ERP, CCS, WACS, OFS).
- Lead backlog remediation of current access requests and escalations.
- Design, build, and optimize access models, ensuring proper role architecture and separation of duties.
- Integrate Oracle Utilities security with enterprise IAM platforms (Okta, SailPoint, ConductorOne, Entra, Ping, etc.).
- Define, document, and standardize security administration processes.
- Collaborate with business and application owners to refine and redesign access roles as needed.
- Provide expert guidance on Oracle ERP and CCS security complexities (noting CCS has tens of thousands of permutations).
Required Experience
- Oracle Utilities Security: Hands-on expertise in Oracle ERP and Oracle CCS (priority platforms); exposure to WACS and OFS a plus.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Experience integrating Oracle with third-party platforms (Okta, SailPoint, Ping, ConductorOne, Azure AD/Entra).
- Strong understanding of role-based access control, permission models, and separation of duties (SoD).
- Ability to balance tactical workload (manual access requests) with strategic initiatives (role design, architecture, automation).
- Utilities industry experience preferred but not required.
- On-prem Oracle Utilities (e.g., CC&B, C2M) experience acceptable if strong access model expertise is present.
