Job Position: Sr. Security Engineer

Job Location: South San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Job Duration: 6 months

Job Description:

• Research and develop new IT Security Infrastructure products and software.
• Develop prescriptive guidance for developers to help prevent security vulnerabilities in their code.
• Designs and implements security controls that are built and engineered to meet compliance requirements, including internal controls, SOX, and PCI controls.
• Collaborates with business owners, product/systems engineers, and operational personnel to understand business priorities and goals, company culture, and processes to identify information security risks.
• Organization, time management, and personality are important attributes for an ISE.
• Manage AVG Level Platforms, MS-SQL, Windows Server, Cisco ASA, and IBM Security technologies, and SNORT IPS.
• Perform the ongoing monitoring and administration of security and compliance-related systems.
• Perform security assessments and review of networking infrastructure and implementation of new security-based technologies.
• Analyze the security landscape and technologies to ensure data protection.
• Provide direct support to the business and IT staff for systems security related issues.

Qualifications:

• BS in computer science or equivalent with 3+ years or MS in computer science.

Required Skills:

• Experience in regulatory compliance (NIST, DOE, NREL), cloud and enterprise network security, advanced threats will be mandatory.
• Experience in performing software threat analysis, security analysis and risk analysis.
• Experience with multiple architecture styles including SOA, API-first, and micro-services architectures.
• Experience in architecting and building large scale systems using scale-out architecture that require high availability, performance, high scalability, and multi-tenancy.
• Deep knowledge of industry standards like OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, FIDO and other emerging trends.
• Prior architecture experience to build an API security solution focusing on authentication, audit and logging, request/response manipulation and redaction and OWASP attacks based on APIs.
• Minimum 2-3 Security certification will be mandatory (CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CCSP, CEH, SSL, CASP, CISM, SANS, PNSE).
• Experience with cloud, successful candidate will be a talent multiplier who gets the team around them to excel.

Xoriant reasonably expects the pay rate for this position to be within the following range: $70.00/hour-$80.00/hour.
