As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking space, you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your skills and contributions promote substantial business impact, and you leverage your deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to address a wide range of challenges across various technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities - Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- 8+ years of hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, release management and operational stability.
- Strong Full stack development experience.
- Strong knowledge in Platform engineering, DevOps, automation, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions, GitLab CI, Harness, CircleCI).
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Experience with deployment automation, deployment orchestration, deployment and rollback strategies.
- Proficiency in Trunk-Based Development, Feature Toggles, Blue-Green Deployments, and Canary Releases.
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience
Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills - Knowledge of mobile app delivery to provide improved solutions, experience in AWS or any cloud, Cloud foundry
- Ability to drive shift-left strategies and modernize software delivery experiences.
- Experience developing and operating SDKs, API and UI facades for enterprise CI/CD toolchain to promote extensibility and innovation
- Experience gathering feedback, and metrics from developers and stakeholders on tools usage to continuously improve the CD processes.
