Job Details
We're seeking an Expert Mainframe Developer to lead our team in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex mainframe applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Lead design, code (COBOL), and debug applications; optimize JCL for batch processing and CICS for online transactions.
- Database Management: Design and optimize DB2 stored procedures and SQL queries.
- Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers. Define and enforce development standards.
- Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
- Support & Maintenance: Offer critical production support, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage defects.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Modernization: Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to modernization initiatives.
