Role: Aruba Resident Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA

Job Description:

Acts as an extended member of customer team to support the account on daily basis. Holds a well-tuned background in pure networking - AOS 8, AOS 10, Aruba Central, Airwave and ClearPass. Candidate should also have prior experience with consulting and experience with products in the Aruba portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Be physically present on-site for this role.
  • Act as an extended member of the team who will be an expert to support customer on a daily basis in order to be successful.
  • Considered as a subject matter expert to ensure the customers infrastructure is up to date.
  • Perform routine checks on the network to ensure it is up to standards.
  • Support customer in migrations and integrations.
  • Be able to update and modify documentation and processes.
  • Work with customer support teams to resolve cases effectively and efficiently.
  • Identify potential issues and monitor/update the tasks.
  • Collaborates closely with key stakeholders on ongoing projects and work towards execution across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience in related field.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Wireless experience: Site surveys, wireless design,
  • Knowledge and experience with Aruba product portfolio: Switching, Routing, AOS8 & AOS10, Wireless AP and IAP, Controllers, SD-WAN, User Experience Insight, Aruba AirWave, Aruba ClearPass and ClearPass extensions, Aruba Central, Aruba Meridian
  • Well-tuned background in pure networking (LAN-WAN-WLAN).
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
  • Basic business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, ownership, change management skills, team player and collaborates with product and support teams.
  • Prior design and operations experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced multi-vendor environment involving quick turnaround time.
  • Must have prior consulting experience.
