Job Description

Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required (in order of relative importance):

Technical project management and documentation skills.

Ability to analyze issues from system documentation and recommend solutions.

Experience managing technical projects, including conflict resolution, issue escalations, status reporting and resource management.

Experience creating and executing data mappings and scripts to clean, compile and analyze data

Experience developing and implementing testing protocols for data and system quality

Experience in R, SQL, and Stata.

Experience with data visualization and software such as Tableau and Power BI.

Excellent oral, written, analytical and communication skills with the ability to lead a technical discussion to both technical and non-technical staff.

Excellent analytical, verbal and conflict resolution skills.

Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired:

Understanding of courtroom operations and workflow.

Experience in government (State) setting

Excellent presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, including creating and presenting executive summaries to management and technical committees.

Technical:

Exposure and experience with Cloud computing.

Conceptual understanding of Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM and Oracle Cloud Platforms.

Prior experience using Snowflake

Experience using Python or other database query languages.

Description of Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Reengineer data loading, cleaning, and mapping process for the Judicial Branch Statistical Information System and its dependent products, including the Court Statistics Report.
  • Reengineer data loading, cleaning, and mapping process for other agency datasets.
  • Create or improve technical and non-technical documentation of datasets.
  • Support Data Analytics/Data Integration program by providing data analysis, data validation, and visualization support for datasets on the platform.
  • Recommend enhancements to data auditing and quality control processes for various datasets stewarded by the Research, Analytics, and Data Group.
  • Develop policies and processes for data management.
  • Create data visualizations and/or data visualization templates using Power BI for various agency datasets. 8 Complete monthly status reports.
