Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect with strong expertise in Silver Peak (Aruba EdgeConnect) SD-WAN solutions to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-wide network infrastructure. This role will be pivotal in shaping our global WAN strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance connectivity across multiple business sites and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Lead the design of Silver Peak SD-WAN solutions, including topology, routing, segmentation, QoS, and traffic optimization strategies.
- Implementation & Deployment: Oversee end-to-end deployment of Silver Peak appliances, orchestrators, and controllers, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Network Optimization: Configure and fine-tune policies for application performance, WAN acceleration, and dynamic path selection to optimize user experience.
- Security Integration: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate SD-WAN with firewalls, ZTNA/SASE frameworks, and cloud security platforms.
- Cloud Connectivity: Design and support connectivity strategies for hybrid/multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) environments leveraging Silver Peak capabilities.
- Operations & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced-level troubleshooting support for Silver Peak SD-WAN and related WAN/LAN routing infrastructure.
- Documentation & Standards: Create high-quality architecture documents, runbooks, and network standards to ensure repeatability and operational excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure network alignment with business goals.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Partner with Silver Peak/Aruba and other vendors to assess new features, patches, and roadmap impacts.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional networking experience with 3+ years in SD-WAN architecture and deployment.
- Hands-on expertise with Silver Peak/Aruba EdgeConnect (design, deployment, optimization, and orchestration).
- Strong background in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.), MPLS, IPsec VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Experience integrating SD-WAN with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and SaaS applications.
- Deep understanding of WAN optimization, QoS, traffic steering, and high-availability design.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (SASE, ZTNA, NGFW integration).
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Aruba Certified SD-WAN Expert, CCNP/CCIE, or equivalent) highly preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other WAN/SD-WAN vendors (Cisco Viptela, Versa, Fortinet SD-WAN, etc.).
- Knowledge of automation and scripting for network deployments (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Background in network monitoring & observability tools (SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, NetScout, etc.).
