Job Summary

The Snowflake Lead Developer will establish and lead the Snowflake Center of Excellence, driving enterprise-wide platform governance, security automation, and compliance. This senior role owns audit remediation (CyberArk, Protegrity), Dynamic Data Masking/Classification implementation, RBAC stabilization, and complete automation of user provisioning, infrastructure deployment, and monitoring across all Snowflake environments.

Core Responsibilities

Center of Excellence & Security Frameworks

• Establish Snowflake CoE: Define platform standards, governance model, and best practices documentation.
• Audit Remediation: Complete CyberArk PAM integration for key pair authentication and address all security findings.
• Data Protection: Deploy Dynamic Data Masking policies and Protegrity tokenization enterprise-wide.
• Classification: Implement Dynamic Data Classification framework with automated tagging.
• Secrets Management: Integrate Conjur Vault/AWS Secrets Manager with automated service account credential rotation.

Automation & Integration

• Identity Automation: Build Snowflake APIs and automate user provisioning workflows with ServiceNow and SailPoint IIQ.
• Infrastructure Automation: Complete IaC deployment (Terraform/CloudFormation) across dev/test/prod environments.
• RBAC Stabilization: Document and automate Role-Based Access Control processes with ownership mapping.
• Monitoring: Deploy comprehensive resource monitoring, cost alerts, and performance dashboards.

Testing & Validation

• Validate ETL/ELT integrity post-security implementation across all data pipelines.
• Conduct end-to-end testing of security frameworks, masking, tokenization, and access controls.
• Update Snowflake use case inventory with accurate ownership, lineage, and cost attribution.

Technical Expertise

Snowflake Platform (5+ yrs):

• Advanced Administration: Multi-account, cross-region
• Security: Dynamic Data Masking, Row/Column Access Policies
• RBAC: Custom roles, grants, hierarchy design
• APIs: SCIM, ODBC/JDBC, REST endpoints
• Monitoring: Query history, warehouse usage, cost governance

Security & Identity (3+ yrs):

• CyberArk PAM: Key pair rotation, privileged access
• Protegrity: Tokenization implementation
• SailPoint IIQ/IdentityNow: Connector development
• AWS Secrets Manager/Conjur: Secrets injection

Automation & DevOps:

• IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation for Snowflake
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI for security configs
• ServiceNow: Workflow development, REST APIs
• Python/PowerShell: Security automation scripts

PHASE 1 (Immediate - 4 weeks):

• CyberArk integration + key pair authentication
• CoE framework + standards documentation
• RBAC stabilization + Confluence inventory

PHASE 2 (4-8 weeks):

• Dynamic Data Masking platform-wide
• Protegrity tokenization deployment
• ServiceNow/IIQ workflow automation

PHASE 3 (8-12 weeks):

• Infrastructure IaC automation (all envs)
• Complete testing + monitoring frameworks
• Use case inventory + cost governance

Required Experience & Qualifications

Technical Must-Haves

• 8+ years enterprise data platform governance; 5+ years hands-on Snowflake.
• Snowflake SnowPro Advanced (Security/Architecture preferred).
• Proven audit remediation in financial/regulated environments.
• CyberArk PAM, SailPoint IIQ, Protegrity implementation experience.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Strong stakeholder management across InfoSec, ServiceNow, IIQ, and app teams.
• Project coordination for multi-team, cross-functional delivery.
• Excellent documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.
