responsibilities:


  • Be a subject matter expert for reporting and analytical systems across the enterprise. Be a consultant to internal and external customers, anticipating and championing their needs and upcoming requests.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Solutions teams and their customers to plan and ensure viability of sprint objectives and priorities, manage multiple concurrent streams of work, and keep the team focused on solution delivery.
  • Facilitate documentation of project and task objectives / user stories, scope boundaries, high-level requirements, and the definition of acceptance criteria. Participate in design reviews, providing a focus on customer needs, outcomes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with customers and engineers to develop testing objectives and plans to verify that business requirements have been met. When required, assist in performing system and user acceptance testing.
  • Analyze the impact of Business Intelligence on customer business processes and objectives, recommending improvements where needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and tasks with other teams in the Information Technology organization as needed.
  • Track project and task status, budget, and hours using existing processes and systems. Provide status reporting to customers and IT leadership as required.
  • Drive accuracy and consistency in data and reporting and the standardization of data metrics and KPIs, leveraging business process and data knowledge, as well as design best practices.
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation of reporting data (structure & relationships, grain & level of detail, amount of history, business definitions / data dictionary, etc.) is created as part of each project that the team delivers.


qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence report developer / analyst with strong data analysis skills required.
  • Ability to work on multiple simultaneous assignments and with changing priorities.
  • Ability to understand, articulate, and document business concepts, processes, and rules.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to provide strong customer service.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve issues quickly.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Experience working on or leading projects and teams using the Agile framework and Scrum or ScrumBan methodologies a plus.
  • Experience with ad hoc analytical and reporting tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, etc. a plus.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Snowflake, or other database technologies (basic data & structure concepts, writing queries, etc.) a plus.
