Job Title: Project Manager Payroll & Benefits
Location: Miramar, FL or Dallas, TX.
Duration: Long-term
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager Payroll and Benefits to lead global payroll and benefits transformation initiatives within our HR technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of hands-on expertise in payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems, with strong project management skills and a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise implementations. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and its integration with broader HR and finance ecosystems is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of payroll and benefits transformation projects across multiple regions.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
- Manage cross-functional project teams including HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with global/local payroll and benefits regulations.
- Develop and maintain project documentation (charters, plans, risks, issues, status reports).
- Systems & Technology (SAP SuccessFactors & Ecosystem)
- Oversee configuration, customization, and deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and Benefits modules.
- Drive integration with adjacent systems (ERP/Finance, Time & Attendance, Tax, Banking).
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to optimize workflows, automation, and data accuracy.
- Monitor system performance, identify improvements, and implement process enhancements.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Partner with HR, Finance, and leadership to align payroll & benefits projects with strategic goals.
- Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
- Lead steering committee updates, executive reporting, and change management activities.
- Ensure strong vendor management and adherence to SLAs.
- Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, labor laws, and tax requirements across geographies.
- Establish payroll and benefits governance frameworks and audit-readiness processes.
- Introduce innovative practices leveraging AI/automation to improve payroll efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS project management.
- Proven track record leading large-scale, global payroll & benefits transformation projects.
- Expertise in SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central, Payroll, Benefits) and integrations with ERP/Finance systems.
- Strong understanding of HR, Finance, and Payroll ecosystem interdependencies.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with global vendor management and third-party payroll providers.
