Work Location

Accepting local candidates within approximately 2 hours of Lansing, MI.
This position is hybrid: on-site 2 days per week. Remote-only work is not available.

Role Summary

This role provides technical guidance on complex IT projects and collaborates with development teams to ensure platforms align with business application requirements. Knowledge of APIs, microservices development, containers, and supporting platform technologies is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Azure DevOps (ADO) components: Wiki, Work Item structures, Pipelines, Git repositories/branches, and related standards and processes.
  • Automate CI/CD needs on Red Hat OpenShift/OCP, Linux, Windows, SQL Server, Oracle, and related environments.
  • Create ADO build and deploy pipelines for Java and .NET applications and integrate with Apache Tomcat, JBoss, SQL Server, Windows, Linux, and Oracle.
  • Document processes and automation procedures.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Red Hat OpenShift v4 environments, including creating build, deployment, and CRD configuration files.
  • Develop and manage Docker and S2I images, StatefulSets, and container orchestration using Helm charts.
  • Maintain Docker image repositories (e.g., Quay).
  • Collaborate across teams to deploy, upgrade, and maintain products.
  • Administer Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) v8.x or higher, including performance tuning and index retention.
  • Configure Logstash pipelines and grok filters; manage Elastic Beats (Filebeat, Heartbeat).
  • Integrate SonarQube, Coverity, and Black Duck into ADO pipelines and pull-request workflows.
  • Script with Linux shell (.ksh, bash) and Python.
  • Debug Java errors.
  • Apply knowledge of SSL, TCP/IP networking, and LDAP.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal forms.
