Position: Design Engineer (12 month Contract)
Location: Onsite in Vermont
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 45-50 per week
Rate: ~USD $70-90/ per hour (flexible depending on candidate experience)


Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to support onsite build activities for an advanced aerospace program. The role will focus on updating and developing 3D models and engineering drawings, serving as the primary onsite link between the Vermont build team and the engineering group in the UK.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Provide hands-on build support within the production environment.




  • Update and maintain 3D models and drawings in alignment with build requirements.




  • Communicate engineering issues, updates, and design intent between onsite teams and UK engineering counterparts.




  • Ensure configuration control and adherence to engineering standards.




  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of design-related queries arising during build.




Required Skills & Experience:




  • Proficiency with CATIA 3DX / V6.




  • Experience with landing gear or related mechanical/aerospace systems (highly preferred).




  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and configuration management.




  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced build environment.




  • Excellent communication skills for cross-site collaboration.




Contract Details:




  • Onsite role, 45-50 hours per week.




  • Competitive hourly rate; open to negotiation based on experience.
