RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Miami, FL that is seeking a technology-driven Technical Accounting Specialist (CPA).

Responsibilities:
* Research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP and regulatory guidance to complex transactions, drafting technical accounting position papers
* Prepare, review, and issue accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a strong emphasis on data integrity and system validation
* Analyze variances in general ledger accounts and provide insights supported by data-driven reporting
* Partner with external auditors, providing technical documentation, reconciliations, and system-generated audit trails
* Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for ERP systems, ensuring optimal configuration, data integrity, and compliance with accounting policies
* Lead or support ERP upgrades, system implementations, and integrations with third-party tools
* Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows (e.g., reconciliations, journal entries, reporting) using RPA, AI-powered tools, or advanced Excel/Power Query
* Leverage business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to deliver interactive dashboards and advanced analytics for leadership
* Partner with IT and finance stakeholders to design and implement system controls and process automation aligned with internal control frameworks
* Coordinate month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely and accurate results through efficient system utilization
* Review and validate payroll, intercompany transactions, expense allocations, and other recurring entries with technology-driven accuracy checks
* Oversee AP/AR processes, leveraging automation tools to improve speed and reduce errors
* Ensure all tax, payroll, and compliance filings are prepared, reviewed, and submitted through approved technology platforms
* Implement data governance practices, ensuring financial data accuracy and accessibility across platforms

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
* Active CPA license in the State of Florida required
* 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with exposure to technical accounting and systems-driven finance functions
* Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent)
* Experience with automation tools (e.g., BlackLine, RPA bots, Alteryx, or similar) and business intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to integrate accounting expertise and technology solutions
* Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical and system concepts to finance and non-finance stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
