Title: Electro-mechanical Technician/Assembler
Location: Redmond, WA 98052
Duration: 12 months Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Propulsion Systems Technician to support our Operations Planning Department. This role involves assembling, testing, and maintaining propulsion system components while ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble propulsion system components and subassemblies following engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform quality control checks and document all activities to maintain compliance with internal standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues that may impact test performance or reporting of results; collaborate with senior technologists or supervisors to resolve problems.
  • Adapt to unexpected schedule changes and respond promptly to emergency situations.
  • Support process work and review output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and end-of-shift reporting to coordinate efforts and minimize production interruptions.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and operational protocols.
  • Utilize precision tools and measurement instruments to ensure the accuracy of assemblies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification, automotive certifications, or equivalent technical certifications.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering documentation and drawings.
  • Experience working with Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) sensitive hardware, and clean room requirements.
  • Proficiency in using Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software packages.
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to changing roles and responsibilities in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of relevant aerospace or automotive manufacturing experience, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, final integration, and/or harness integration.
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment with flight hardware.
  • Proficiency in using precision torque, measurement, and inspection devices (e.g., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
