Role: Lead QA / SDET

Location: onsite (Mahwah , Nj)

Job Description:

We are looking for a Lead QA/SDET to design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks ensuring high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in test automation, QA strategy, and leading a team in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead QA and automation efforts across multiple projects.
  • Design and develop scalable test automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
  • Work closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Define and implement test strategies for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
  • Mentor and guide QA engineers and SDETs on best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Track and report quality metrics and test coverage.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in QA and test automation, including 2+ years in a lead role.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, or Cucumber.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
  • Excellent understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Exposure to performance or security testing tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
